Bouchard Vigne de L'Enfant Jesus Premier Cru 2008 - First Bottle

Reviews

94 Wine Enthusiast -
The Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus is a 10-acre parcel in the heart of the Grèves vineyard that once belonged to Carmelite nuns. This vintage, while marked by acidity and soft fruit, does have a firm edge of dark tannins, filled out with plum and red cherry flavors.

About the Producer

Through its history, rich heritage, and wine treasures, Bouchard Père & Fils embodies nearly three centuries of the history of France and Burgundy. The House’s history was built on the long and patient work of assembling an unapparelled collection of parcels, starting with the acquisition of Volnay Caillerets in 1775. The Estate of Bouchard Père & Fils is spread over iconic Climats of Côtes de Nuits and Côtes de Beaune, from Gevrey Chambertin to Puligny-Montrachet. More than two thirds of the 130-hectare Estate consists of Premier Cru and Grand Cru appellations, which account for less than 3% of the already very limited Burgundy vineyards.
