Château Lafite-Rothschild’s simply spectacular “Decade Edition” collectible six-pack has landed! We have exactly TWO of these incredible, original wood cases, direct from the winery in Bordeaux six-packs available – at thousands less than other retailers! Two bottles each – 1990, 2000, 2010 – and great vintages all that are certainly aging, and will continue to do so, impeccably for decades yet to come!

Two bottles each, of the decade-starting vintages, from one of the preeminent houses in the world of wine. Château Lafite-Rothschild needs no introduction, a First Growth and Pauillac legend for centuries, and we only have two of these supremely rare six packs available, so let’s jump right into the vintages themselves!

1990 (WA96, WS95): A 98 point vintage for the estate, the wine initially came off as somewhat backward – all the pieces for greatness were there, but there was doubt about how the wine would develop. Over the last several decades, it has become clear that this wine is on a decidedly upward trend, with Wine Advocate and other critics constantly updating the scores positively over the years...as low as 91 in the early nineties to a more recent 97 from Lisa Perotti-Brown! This is a wine that has taken its time – but is making good on all its promise now, and only seeming to get better still!

2000 (JS100, JL99): A legendary Bordeaux vintage, that garnered a 100 point medal for this incredible bottling. Classic, powerful, complex...everything you could want in a First Growth and one of the most sought after years for collectible Bordeaux.

2010 (WA100, JS99): Perhaps even more legendary than 2000, and considered one of the finest vintages for Bordeaux in the past 100 years. Yet another 100 point earner for this great estate – the 2010 is historically perfection in a bottle – and whether you are collecting for yourself, or investing for the future, few bottlings have the upside potential of this luminous wine. Best of luck, collectors! To the fastest fingers go the spoils!

About the Producer

The name Lafite comes from the Gascon language term “la hite”, which means “hillock”. There were probably already vineyards on the property at the time when the Ségur family organised the vineyard in the 17th century, and Lafite began to earn its reputation as a great winemaking estate. Jacques de Ségur was credited with the planting of the Lafite vineyard in the 1670s and in the early 1680s. In 1695, Jacques de Ségur’s heir, Alexandre, married the heiress of Château Latour, who gave birth to Nicolas-Alexandre de Ségur. The wine histories of the fiefs of Lafite and Latour were thus joined at the outset.
