Keever Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2018 - First Bottle

Reviews

I also loved the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon, which brings another level of purity and class, offering gorgeous crème de cassis, lead pencil shavings, white flowers, tobacco leaf, vanilla bean, and damp earth-like aromas and flavors. Pure, clean, full-bodied, and just a classy, flawlessly balanced beauty, it has fine tannins, the freshness of the vintage, and a great finish. Enjoy bottles over the coming 15-20 years.

The 2018 cabernet sauvignon is a beast of richness, style, and overall class that easily competes with Napa cabs of the $200+ ilk. 95 points! This monster from the western hills of Yountville is just starting to come of age – with incredible depth and loads of complexity. Black cherries, spiced plums, peonies, graphite, crème de cassis, black licorice, fresh pipe tobacco, and plenty of smooth and sexy curves throughout. This is built to last, but in the five years since harvest – it is starting to strut confidently.

About the Producer

Keever Vineyards, situated in the renowned Napa Valley, boasts a history steeped in passion and dedication to winemaking excellence. Founded by Bill and Olga Keever, the story begins in the early 1990s when the Keever family acquired a pristine plot of land in the Yountville region of Napa Valley. Recognizing the potential of the soil and climate for grape cultivation, they embarked on a journey to establish a world-class winery. The vineyard's first plantings were in 1999, carefully selecting varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Syrah to craft exceptional wines. Over the years, the Keever family's commitment to sustainable farming practices and their unwavering focus on producing high-quality, limited-production wines have earned them a prominent position in Napa Valley's esteemed winemaking community. Their wines reflect a deep respect for the land, a dedication to craftsmanship, and a profound love for the art of winemaking.
