98 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
Read
The 2017 Chardonnay Sugar Shack is produced from Montrachet clone vines grown in Rutherford (Napa Valley). POW! It comes charging out of the glass, all guns blazing! Notes of lemon tart, lime cordial and preserved pineapples leap from the glass, followed by suggestions of chopped cashews, coriander seed, juniper and aniseed. Full-bodied, the palate has a seductively satiny texture and soft acidity, leading with bold, expressive stone fruit preserves and spicy layers, finishing very long and very decadent.

About the Producer
Mark Aubert has loved farming since…well, since forever. Raised in St. Helena with farming in his blood and returning to the Napa Valley after university graduation, Mark is a career winemaker whose life passions converged when he and his wife, Teresa, founded Aubert Wines in the late 1990s. Combining his love of farming, passion for growing grapes and a relentless obsession for detail, you have the inspiration behind Aubert. Mark crafts the wines of Aubert to speak gently to a variety of wine lovers with one thing in common—selective palates that expect nothing but the best.
