There’s a pretty good chance you take a sip of Champagne tonight, and say to yourself or a loved one “We should drink Champagne more…”. We agree. Remy Massin just so happens to be one of our very favorites. This “Prestige” is a celebration in a bottle – all at nearly 50% OFF!

This 50% pinot noir and 50% chardonnay blend hails from the Massin family holdings in the Côte des Bar, on the southern part of Champagne bordering nearby Chablis. Just over 100 years ago, the powers that be tried to exclude this region from the classification of Champagne, which ended in violent riots and protests. Things were set to rights after World War I and the Côte des Bar has been officially Champagne ever since.

Remy Massin traces its roots on the sunny hillsides of Ville sur Acre in the Côte des Bar all the way back to 1865. Now, five generations of growing grapes later, this exceptional producer consistently crafts some of our favorite cuvées to be found in any corner of the sparkling wine world. Closely matching the Kimmeridgian soils of nearby Chablis, their vineyards are predominantly planted to pinot noir, with about 20% dedicated to chardonnay and a scant 5% set aside for the pinot blanc. This wine showcases the ripe berry and red floral characters of pinot noir, melded seamlessly with the bright citrus and flinty minerality of chardonnay. Stone fruits, toasted hazelnuts, and zippy acidity complete the picture...and it is a stunning one at that. This is a perfect aperitif or first-course champagne, with the tingly acidity and the crunchy minerality to prepare your palate for a beautiful meal to come! Of course, it also simply rocks as a stand-alone, and at nearly 50% off...buy enough to test its limits for yourself!

About the Producer

Remy Massin traces its roots on the sunny hillsides of Ville sur Acre all the way back to 1865. Pinot blanc is a lesser known but accepted variety in Champagne – though still incredibly rare to see blended in any amount, and especially as a single varietal to make a top-tier wine like this. Of the seven varieties allowed in Champagne, pinot blanc, arbane, petit meslier, and pinot gris account for only 0.3% of plantings combined!
