Medium to deep garnet colored, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon "Few and Far Between" features beautiful red roses, Ceylon tea and sandalwood notions with tar, earth and charcuterie hints in the background plus accents of iron ore, pencil shavings and forest floor. The palate is full-bodied, concentrated and firmly structured with fantastically ripe, grainy tannins and seamless freshness delivering a very long, vibrantly fruited finish.

A gorgeous Cabernet that flirts with opulence, this is pure and juicy, with a mix of rich dark berry, cherry, plum and cassis flavors, supported by a minerally, crushed rock foundation that merges with the medley of berry notes on the long, persistent finish. Drink now through 2030. 600 cases made.

About the Producer
Proprietor and former investment banker Jayson Woodbridge bought the 3.6 hectare (9 acre) Kayli Morgan vineyard in Howel Mountain in the late 1900's, naming it for the Hundred Acre Wood from Winnie-the-Pooh. The portfolio then included the ark vineyard on Glass mountain and the Few and Far between cuvee from the historic Eisele Vineyard. The vineyards are managed so carefully that vines are pruned to one grape cluster per vine and at the winery, grapes are sorted berry by berry. Hundred Acres also makes the ancient way Shiraz from the Barossa Valley in Australia. Jayson Woodbridge also owns Layer Cake, a collection of wines from around the world at more everyday prices, also including Cherry Pie and Cherry Tart wines.
