This wine, this estate, the history, the cast of characters - it’s all a bit too much! This is the sort of an A-LIST ensemble typically reserved for Hollywood’s big studio summer blockbusters. Originally planted in the 1860s by the Sullivan family (descendants of the de Latours of Bordeaux, founders of Beaulieu Vineyards), this western Rutherford Bench site was re-planted under the guidance of the legendary André Tchelistcheff in 1963 (with fruit consistently finding its way into BV’s top bottlings). The Staglin’s purchased the vineyards in 1985 and have added nearly 40 years of continued excellence to the portfolio.

About the Producer

The Staglin family takes pride in their mission to produce workd class wine from their Rutherford Bench estate. The estate is family owned and has a rich 130 year viticultural history. The land that they have cultivated was purchased back in 1864 for $34 an acre. Far cheaper than what it's worth now. The Staglin family purchased the estate in 1985 and ealty on worked closely with Andre Tchelistcheff on the planting and production of their new winery. The winery is certified organic and the underground caves that run 24,000 ft minimizes its impact on the local ecosystem.
