The 2018 Châteauneuf Du Pape Reserve comes from a single terroir (which is closest to the Les Trois Sources terroir) and is always a tiny production cuvée that’s just about impossible to find in the market. The 2018 shows the more elegant, seamless style of the vintage beautifully and has a gorgeous bouquet of cassis, blueberries, crushed violets, smoked game, ground pepper, and black licorice. This carries to a seamless, full-bodied wine that has no hard edges, flawless balance, and silky tannins, as well as a great finish.

About the Producer
La Vielle Julienne has been a family owned property since 1905, but the property was born on the northern slope of Chateauneuf-du-Pape in the 17th century. Jean-Paul Daumen is the fifth generation owner and winemaker. He remains a committed student of wine; continuously searching for new ideas and curious to the unknown. He is a true believer in biodynamics and believes in the abandoning of herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers and chemical products in the vineyards. He is also a true believer in minimal unnatural additions in the cellar. All wines are certified biodynamic by Demeter.
