Williams Selyem Lewis MacGregor Estate Pinot Noir 2018 - First Bottle

Reviews

95 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
The 2018 Pinot Noir Lewis MacGregor Estate Vineyard, from Pommard and Swan clone vines planted in 1990, has a medium ruby-purple color and broody scents of spiced cranberry sauce, baked blackberries, prosciutto, bergamot and saline. The palate is medium-bodied with slowly expanding fruits accented by loads of inherent spiciness and a mineral streak. It has a grainy frame and great freshness, finishing very long. Lovely! 423 cases were made.

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!
Rarely, if ever do we see these wines reviewed, but of course, when they are, they get 95s like this did from the Wine Advocate. A wine that they deamed "Lovely!" Agreed! And sneakily ageable we might add. Just 423 cases were made for the world.

About the Producer

In 1979, Burt Williams and Ed Selyem tried their hands at weekend winemaking at Burt''s house in Forestville. They started with Zinfandel grapes grown by the Martinelli family on now legendary Jackass Hill. Burt and Ed sold the winery to pioneering viticulturist and longtime customer John Dyson in 1998. Bob Cabral also took over for Burt as head winemaker.
