Crisp, focused aromas of ripe berry fruits, hot asphalt and spice are potent and excellent. From one of the Priorat's highest locales (2,400 feet), this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Garnacha tastes of spicy plum, crushed peppercorn and schist. Warm finishing notes of minerality combined with strong fruit flavors are thorough and complex; drink through 2028. Top 100 Wines of 2017 #65.

About the Producer
The Pasanau winery, located in La Morera de Montsant, was founded in 1995. It belongs to the Priorat Denomination of Origin, one of the highest quality wine areas in Spain, currently with the DO Qualified range. The written references to this historic winemaking family date back to the thirteenth century, when the first settlers, under the tutelage of the prior of the Carthusian monastery, owner of the land, settled in the area. It was the grandfather Juan Pasanau who after his link with Maria Estrems Cornado at the beginning of the 20th century, recovered the family lands and planted the vineyards again.
