Gaston Chiquet Blanc de Blancs d'Ay Grand Cru Brut NV - First Bottle

Reviews

92 Stephen Tanzer -
Pale straw. High-pitched aromas of lime and lemongrass, with chalky mineral and floral notes adding complexity. Taut, incisive citrus fruit and mineral flavors show impressive clarity and pick up notes of green apple and honeysuckle with air. Clean and nervy on the mineral-driven finish.

When you've been making wine since 1749, you've learned a thing or two. One of the OG grower-producers and founding members of the Club Tresors, Gaston Chiquet always delivers the goods. This Chardonnay-based bottle of goodness is for those who like their bubbly in the minerally, racy, apple-y style. Perfect just to sip all day long.

About the Producer

Gaston Chiquet, one of the founding Special Club member producers, has been cultivating grapes since 1749. Brothers Fernand and Gaston Chiquet were pioneers as they were one of the producers to decide to keep their grapes and make their own Champagne. Gaston separated from his brother in 1935 and the rest is history. Gaston Chiquet now controls more than 53 acres in Dizy, Ay, Mareuil-sur-Ay and Hautvillers.
