PerUs is the Russell Bevan project most people don’t know about… yet! It is some of the toughest juice to get your hands on in Napa – bar none. Extremely limited, usually only privately allocated… meaning claim to major bragging rights to those who do get to take some of this highly covetable wine home.
We’ve been privileged to be some of the very few to get ANY of these hyper-limited wines. If you were lucky enough to snag any of the earlier vintages from us, you know just how insane these wines are. Here's the scoop: PerUs is a collaboration of rockstar wine personalities, including winemaker Russell Bevan (of countless 100-pointers from Bevan, Harbison and more), star sommeliers Dustin Wilson (Eleven Madison Park) and Eric Railsback (RN74, Les Marchands), plus several successful entrepreneurs, and a team of friends and designers to round it all out. They worked their magic to find some pretty nice vineyards to do it all from – Tench, next to Screaming Eagle, Sugarloaf Mountain near Coombsville, and Sage Ridge up on the eastern hills above St. Helena.
No expenses are spared on this project, and it shows in the glass, with incredible concentration, polish, and seamlessness in every last wine, from start to finish. If you are a lover of no-holds-barred Cabernet and red blends, then you owe it to yourself to make room for these beauties. A true showpiece for your cellar, and wines everyone should experience at least once.
Our notes: A bold yet sophisticated blend that marries plush Sugarloaf fruit with the structure of Tench Cabernet, offering aromas of ripe plum, black cherry, violets, and mocha. The palate is layered and confident, with velvety dark berry richness up front, then firmer youthful tannins emerging on the back end to frame a long, savory, herbal finish.
