Blended from sites in Rutherford, Oakville and St. Helena, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Vineyards features remarkably subtle cedar and vanilla shadings for a wine that saw 75% new French oak. Black cherries, loamy earth and dried spices figure prominently in this full-bodied, silky effort. Tightly woven, with fine-grained tannins and a lingering finish, this is a terrific effort.

The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Vineyards shows rocking levels of cassis and ripe blue fruits as well as spicy oak, graphite, and some floral hints that all shine from the glass. It's medium to full-bodied, has a pure, round, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It shows the class of this great vintage and will keep for 10-15 years. It's a smoking value and an impeccably made Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink 2025-2040.
