If you don’t know, the visionary Napa duo of Heidi and Russell Bevan are renowned for producing ultra-rich, full-bore, incredible-quality red wines, and Russell has nearly forty 100-point scores to his name to show for it. Their 96-point “The Twin” 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon falls right in step with their illustrious reputation... and we have it for an ALL TIME LOW PRICE (by FAR the lowest price anywhere) when you get two, plus free shipping!

The Bevans are somewhat akin to Napa Valley royalty. After a time in dental sales, tinkering with wine on the side, he became a self-taught winemaker back in ‘05 and has been on a tear of making tremendous wines in the valley ever since. She ran an aviation company for 8 years before transitioning into wine and flying to the top of the industry. Together, their sourcing is pristine, their focus (outside of terroir) is textural balance, and their prestige is built on carefully crafting big, bold, elegant red wines. While Russell has made wine for over a dozen wineries (and owned one other, Bevan Cellars), Adversity is a somewhat newer project with Heidi that continues their mighty path of what he calls “massive wines with huge tannin profiles that never come across as tannic.”

“The Twin” Cabernet Sauvignon was created in honor of Heidi and her twin sister, Heather – a celebration of two personalities complementing each other and supporting one another in a way that can’t quite be described. Sourced from two incredible vineyards from Sugarloaf Mountain, on the southern end of the Vaca range, and Phelan Ranch, this wine does the same, combining power with silky finesse. If you haven’t heard of Phelan Ranch, it was just planted in 2019, a sprawling hilltop site atop Mount Gregg overlooking Lake Hennessey that completes a lovely little powerhouse triangle of Howell Mountain and Pritchard Hill, sharing similar volcanic soils and impressive elevations. For fans of big, polished, layered, and wildly hedonistic Napa Cabs – this is the blueprint. And we just so happen to have it for the best price of all time.

This has plush, lush bramble berries, plums, and dark cherries, accents of dusty dark cocoa powder and crushed gravel, and warming notes of tobacco, vanilla, black pepper, clove, and cedar shavings. It’s soul-filling to the very core, and rich with layers and complexity and a seemingly never-ending finish complemented by a fresh kick of acidity and structured yet smooth tannins. Drinking gorgeously now – and sure to continue its wondrous ride for at least another decade. Not much is made, and this is a rare gem you won’t find at most grocery stores. It’s Russell Bevan at his best – and you get the deal of the year on 2+ bottles, WITH shipping included! If there was ever a time to run...

PAIRING IDEAS: You can’t go wrong with these tender and rich garlic butter steak bites – they will absolutely melt in your mouth as you sip on this opulent Cab.
