About the Producer

Koueigiku, one of the most exciting new breweries in Japan, is located in Saga Prefecture. Founded in 2019 by two sake industry outsiders, the brewery partnered with Katsuaki Yamamoto, one of Japan’s most talented young brewers. Yamamoto, previously known for his work with the highly regarded Kikutaka brand from Aichi, shifted his focus with Koueigiku to create bright, energetic sakes with a slightly lower ABV that are incredibly easy to drink. These sakes are a masterful blend of sweetness, acidity, and umami, infused with a youthful energy and a refreshing spritz.
