Dreamy Clouds stands out for its rare quality as a nigori sake, with a milling rate of 59% that technically qualifies it as Junmai Ginjo grade. This offers an opportunity for nigori drinkers to explore more refined styles of sake. Unlike many nigori, it is bright and lean on the palate, with a chewy texture and sweet rice flavors blending with nutty and slightly fruity notes. It pairs beautifully with spicy noodle dishes, risotto, or white fish.
About the Producer
Founded in 1882, the brewery was named after the Chinese Tang-era poet Li Bo, known in Japan as Rihaku, by Reijiro Wakatsuki, a former prime minister. The brewery crafts its sake with meticulous attention to raw materials, selecting the finest rice for sake preparation for every grade they produce.
