Caraccioli Pinot Noir Private Property 2017 - First Bottle

Reviews

93 Wine Enthusiast -
This wine comes from the cellar of Scott Caraccioli from Escolle Vineyard, meaning that it's a lower-priced take on one of the premiere Pinot Noir properties in California. Fresh and vibrant aromas of rose petal, strawberry and potpourri are precise, while the palate's dry expression of pomegranate, chalk and ash are compelling.

About the Producer

Gary Caraccioli grew up working on his family’s farm in the Salinas valley at the foot of the Santa Lucia Mountains. In 2006, Gary enticed his Uncle Jim and brother Phil, to expand their agricultural roots into the wine business with the idea that they would make an exclusive and original wine that was not being produced anywhere else in the area. His goal was to develop a sophisticated and complex sparkling wine specific to the Santa Lucia Highlands. Today the Caraccioli’s continue to produce Brut and Brut Rose sparkling wine varietals as well as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The fourth generation of the Caraccioli family has joined the founders in their venture, and Joe has since retired.
