Pierre Moncuit Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut Grand Cru Le Mesnil 2010 - First Bottle

Reviews

93 Vinous -
Moncuit’s 2010 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is deeply intriguing. The natural richness conferred by the 60-year-old vines comes through in the wine’s power and intensity. Lemon confit, apricot, mint, chamomile and light tropical overtones give the wine much of its distinctive, extroverted character. I wouldn’t push my luck on aging, but the 2010 is undoubtedly a very fine vintage Champagne to enjoy over the next handful of years or so. Dosage: 3.5 gr/L. Disgorged: February, 2018.

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!
2010 Grand Cru BdB from Mesnil -- $80 retail, now $53 and the best price in the nation! Pierre Moncuit’s Extra Brut sold out in a flash last time. We’re on a killer tear with world-class grower bubbly these days and Moncuit is the newest to hit the warehouse. Located in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger where grand cru chardonnay reigns supreme, Nicole Moncuit owns some of the oldest vines along the entire Cote with an average age of 45 years. For those in the know, Moncuit is a must have for anyone serious about Blanc de Blancs. The female winemaking touch is evident here with incredible precision and pronounced minerality, all wrapped in a textural wonderland with chalky finish.

Drinking perfectly RIGHT NOW, this was a stellar little find at our SUPERB price today. 7 years on the lees, 3 gram per liter dosage and an extra 6 months in bottle before release! This is a whole lot of wine for under $60! Only 10 cases imported! We recommend serving this in large Burgundy glasses as opposed to flutes to highlight this beautiful range of flavors. An absolutely AMAZING price -- grab it while you can…
