Our last few bottles of this gem of a wine. We've been following young vigneron Vincent Dureuil for more many years now and he is simply on the top of his game, there is just no one doing what he does. His work out in the Cote Chalonnaise has helped elevate this area back into the spotlight and provide a jumping off point for many in the area to go back to farming and picking by hand and treating the vineyards with the respect they deserve. His 2017s are otherworldly, in short, he is the cream of the crop when it comes to the Cote Chalonnaise. Vincent also owns a small plot of vines in Puligny and he proves he can hang with the big boys and girls with his deft winemaking hand.

The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs Gains is also showing especially well, wafting from the glass with notes of ripe citrus fruit, fresh pastry, white peaches and almond paste, framed by a subtle touch of new wood. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, with excellent concentration, considerable textural refinement and bright structuring acids, concluding with a long and precise finish.
