Too late, we are SOLD OUT!
David Arthur, it has been too long, my friend! We tasted this last week and were just SO impressed we bought every case we could. We love Italian Super Tuscans of course, but Pritchard Hill? Wow! David’s love for Italian wine is equally as strong and infectious as ours. He proceeded to plant a small parcel of Sangiovese next to the winery to pursue his dream of creating a world-class blend to rival the likes of Tignanello and Sassicaia. Having Sangiovese planted on Pritchard Hill (which Wine Spectator has dubbed "the Rodeo Drive of Napa Valley”), makes little financial sense when David Arthur’s Cabs sell between $125-$250 a bottle. This is a wine born of pure passion, and because of that, it offers tremendous value. Arguably the finest Sangiovese/Cabernet blend in the Napa Valley (there are very few to begin with!), we loved the silky texture, the juicy, piquant red fruits and caramelized fig, the fine, elegant weight and long, cherry-packed flavors on the finish. Amazing! What a find! And for our price?!! Stock up!

This is a rare beast, and certainly one of the best Meritaggios we've tasted from David Arthur. $299.70 a 6-PACK w/free shipping! Or...might we recommend a little taste off? Check out our Sangiovese-based wines HERE and mix and match up a cool 6-pack!

While it lasts...

About the Producer

The origins of David Arthur Vineyards and the Long Family Ranch date back to when the Long family started visiting the Napa Valley in the 1950s. Don Long, a butcher by trade owned a small grocery store in Portola Valley, near Stanford University and had long been interested in the California wine country. With a keen eye for business opportunities, Don began steadily investing in Napa Valley real estate leading to the acquisition of nearly 1,000 acres atop Pritchard Hill.
