Kind Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Henry Brothers Ranch Howell Mountain 2016 - First Bottle

Reviews

95+ Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain opens with pronounced peppery and black raspberries scents giving way to warm blackberries, cassis, tilled soil, unsmoked cigars, cedar and redcurrant jelly. The palate is full-bodied, rich, opulent, plush and spicy, finishing long and fragrant.

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!
So there I was, standing in line at Sunshine Market in downtown St. Helena, arms full of eggs and whatnot, and I started idly chatting with the person in front of me — David Yorgenson (a winemaker Bob Parker has called “a tour de force in winemaking”). Just like the first time I was able to score some Turley wines back in the late 90s, the market is often the best place to score some killer deals! These wines are sold exclusively through their mailing list (!) so we were AWESTRUCK when David offered us a few boxes of his flagship Reserve Cab from Henry Brothers Ranch. We are so pumped to have a little bit to offer you...a retail exclusive! We are also offering free ground shipping on two or more bottles today only!

David launched his career with Seavey working under the one and only Philippe Melka, and his Reserve Cabernet comes from a highly coveted vineyard, the Henry Brothers Ranch (only one of a handful of wineries get access to these grapes), which was planted in 2006 on Howell Mountain's rugged and rocky red soil at just under 2,000 feet.

This tiny-production cult winery became impossible to buy overnight when Parker handed out a couple of 99-pointers. We just got a few cases of their incredible ‘16. Don’t miss! David’s style is all about polish and purity. He is not shy with the oak, but you would never know as symmetry and balance are always evident in the end. Grab it while we have it — 95+ points and a Cabernet for the most hedonistic of palates. Rich, intense, concentrated and somehow shockingly succulent considering its brawny size, it packs in dense blue fruits, graphite and opulent texture for days. ONLY AT FIRST BOTTLE!

About the Producer

In 2004, David and Wendy Yorgensen moved across the country from Vermont to the Napa Valley, California. As a winemaker, David built upon this opportunity, honing his skills through determination and perseverance; through his hard work and his development of relationships with farmers, growers and other winemaking friends, KIND has been built on a sense of partnership and the belief that when one cares a great deal, when knowledge is married with a zeal for grape and palate, exceptional wine is the result.
