Domaine Albin Jacumin Chateauneuf du Pape A Aime 2016 - First Bottle

Reviews

94 Jeb Dunnuck -
The 2016 Chateauneuf-du-Pape A Aime is a mix of permitted varieties that was vinified and aged in older barrels. It's similarly colored and has a bigger, richer bouquet of kirsch, caramelized blackberries, garrigue, and toasted spice. It has a touch of vanilla, full body, a sexy, opulent texture, and no hard edges. It's a seriously good Chateauneuf du Pape and, I suspect, the finest wine I've ever tasted from the domaine.

Jeb Dunnuck recently wrote of ‘16 Southern Rhone: “The 2016s are on another level...The wines are beautifully concentrated and structured – on par with 2010 – yet have a more open, sexy, voluptuous style...This is truly an extraordinary vintage.” This is the vintage to buy, and buy big. JACUMIN! This is their flagship offering which sees the royal treatment in the cellar and the results are in the glass. As Jeb puts it succinctly with a 94 point review: "It's a seriously good Chateauneuf du Pape and, I suspect, the finest wine I've ever tasted from the domaine."
