We love finding wines that are new, using old-world techniques and pedigreed vineyards. Stringer is relatively new, but already getting huge buzz. The new-release chardonnay comes from the lauded John Sebastiano Vineyard (JSV) in the Santa Barbara AVA, from a steep hillside block.

Drinking like something much, MUCH more expensive (especially when you buy a 6-pack, the price drops further and you qualify for free ground shipping), this is expansive and toasty, with excellent acidity and minerality to back up the modestly rich fruit and texture. Just...YUM. For this price?!

About the Producer

Stringer Cellars is a family winery with Casey taking the lead as winemaker. Casey’s brothers Andrew and Tim, both help with cellar tasks, sales and marketing. Chip, the patriarch of the family, oversees the operation, and when it comes time for a winery event, all the Stringers love to pour and talk about their wines.
