Celestino Pecci Brunello di Montalcino 2012 - First Bottle

Reviews

95 James Suckling -
Aromas of blackcurrants, berries and chocolate. Remains subtle and perfumed. Full body, lots of fruit and chocolate character and a hint of vanilla. Fascinating young Brunello that needs two or three years to come together. Better in 2020.

$57 and up elsewhere! Amazing! At 95 points and under $45, this is the BEST Brunello deal we have seen yet!! $269.70 a six pack w/free shipping is a MASSIVE no-brainer for immediate drinking joy, and over the next 5 years. Read on!

Don’t ask how we scored this price, just JUMP. This wine rocks! Pecci has, most importantly, fantastic vineyards just outside of Montalcino village nearby the fabled Montosoli hill, close to Valdicava and Caparzo. Since being “discovered” by the wine press a few years ago, daughter Tiziana Pecci is on fire, making traditional but terrifically drinkable Brunello di Montalcino.

About the Producer

Pecci Celestino farmhouse inherits its name from the owner who, following his passion for farming despite the "project" planned for him by their parents, acquired two farmhouses and a 99 acre piece of land. It was the 1968 when the Pecci Celestino farmhouse history begun, a history full of difficulties and sacrifices but in the end the family persevered and is now producing some of our very favorite, long lived Brunello in the region.
