Murgo Etna Rosso Tenuta San Michele 2016 - First Bottle

Reviews

91 Vinous -
Bright red. Strawberry and red cherry are complicated by herbs and minerals on the nose and in the mouth. Displays delightful inner-mouth perfume, with a very clean and crisp personality. A perfectly balanced, light bodied, very fresh red that boasts sneaky concentration and complexity. Will prove especially lovely if slightly chilled.

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!
This was love at first sip. Murgo makes one of our favorite sparkling wines in Italy but they also make amazing still whites and reds. This special bottling has so much to offer for a very little $. A must taste for anyone serious about Nerello. This is a warm loving blanket of red fruits with a lightweight pinot noir like feel and the classic mineral undercurrent of Etna. SO. GOOD.

About the Producer

In 1981, the diplomat Baron Emanuele Scammacca del Murgo decided to transform the ancient property of the family into a modern productive agricultural estate. In the following years, the sons Michele, Alessandro, Pietro, and Matteo joined him, supported by the brothers Filippo, Bernardo, Manfredi and Costantino. 1500 feet above the sea level, on the eastern slopes of Mount Etna in a privileged panoramic position you will find Murgo Winery.
