Domaine Curot Sancerre 2018
Sauvignon Blanc | France
$29.95 - 750mL
If we were running for Pres, we’d promise a case of this in every home. Winemaker Éric Louis can follow his roots in Sancerre as far back as 1860, when his great-grandmother Pauline was an early pioneer in tending vines and bottling her own wines. Domaine Curot’s vines hail from the silex-rich soils of the hillsides near Vinon, Southeast of Sancerre.
Your senses will be mightily and happily aware of that silex and limestone/clay soil the moment the crisp, verve-filled wine hits your lips --- the piercing, lemony minerality, the whiff of salt, and then the light notes of tropicality ring in -- sweet apples, nectarines, maybe a hint of green mango, even -- center stage is dominated by pure, minerally citrus, though -- clean and racy and refreshing as a dip in a cool Lake Tahoe stream!!
Sancerre! We never get enough and it WILL sell out. $29.95!! $179.70 for 6 with free shipping!
