Too late, we are SOLD OUT!
Nearly impossible to find in this country, Pehu Simonet’s Champagnes are mostly snapped up by French bistros and savvy Somms here in the states! But we snagged a few cases! Fantastic price and free shipping on 3!

Best online price is $63...our price on 3 or more? $47.95 w/FREE SHIPPING!

OK, got that part out of the way (the killer deal part). SO -- Pehu Simonet’s wonderful, tiny-production Grand Cru Face Nord from the legendary importer (and James Beard winner), Terry Thiese, who seems to always bat 1,000. Seriously, when we see his stamp of approval on a label...we know it's going to be good. This is all Verezenay and Verzy Grand Cru fruit, 70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay. 70% from the 2015 vintage and 30% reserve wine. Very pale salmon color, but absolutely crackling with mouth-watering acidity, rose petal, cool strawberry, and citrus peel, with laser-focused punch and length --- very dry and polished. Just outrageously delicious - to find this level of excellence at $48 is simply astounding. A must if you imbibe bubbles on a regular basis like we do!

About the Producer

David Pehu is the fourth generation of his family to produce estate-bottled Champagnes. His grandfather sold Champagne under the Antonin Pehu label, and in the early 1970s his parents created Pehu Simonet, with the introduction of vines from his mother’s side of the family. Pehu-Simmonet is smack dab in the middle of the grand cru village, Verzenay and their 18 acres are absolutely prime time terroir. With 90% Grand Cru holdings David Pehu's vineyards are in Verzy, Verzenay, Mailly, Sillery and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger! The 10% Premier cru vineyard he owns he sells off as he only wants to bottle Grand Cru. David Pehu is the fourth generation vigneron who has been at the helm since 1988. Because he sources a small amount of fruit Grand Cru fruit outside of his holdings, he is not technically a grower producer despite his significant 16 acres of Grand Cru vineyards. Pehu-Simonet is lighting it up right now with elegant, polished Champagnes that are a pleasure to imbibe.
