Pierre Faiveley started his now-legendary Burgundy house, Maison Joseph Faiveley, in 1825. Growing from a negociant to one of the most important vineyard owners in Burgundy, with holdings tallying 296 acres across some of the very best terroirs in the Cote d'Or. This wine HUGELY over-delivers when you can pick it up at our price today...$55!

We can’t really argue with the Wine Spectator review: “sleek, focused style, this offers cherry, currant, earth and mineral aromas and flavors. Vibrant and keeps building on the palate, ending with a lingering aftertaste of fruit, mineral and spice”, although we’d add that we’d probably give it a few more points, especially after a few more years of bottle age (review date was April of 2017). For us this comes across a bit lusher and rounder than the review might suggest. Trust us on this one, this is REALLY good stuff!

I can't get enough of 2014 red Burgundy right now. The whites stole the spotlight and the reds never received the recognition they deserved. The more reds I taste, especially with a handful of years in the bottle, the more I find to love. According to Vinous: “Some growers believe that on the Côte de Nuits the vintage favored Vosne-Romanée and Chambolle-Musigny.” And they went on to say of the vintage as a whole: "Two thousand fourteen is a delicious midweight vintage with alluring fruit, juicy supporting acidity, expressive terroir character, supple tannins and considerable early appeal. Best of all, the wines display an attractive natural balance and elegance, and should offer at least medium-term ageability.

Just a RARE TREAT to get this level of rock-solid delicious Chambolle at ANYTHING close to this price!! Please hurry if you want some...barely enough cases to sell! While it lasts…!
