Dom Perignon Champagne 2009
How do you follow up yesterday’s head-spinning Brunello offer? DOM P. of course!! This is going to be a great week!
The last time I had this wine was some months back in Verona, Italy of all places, being poured at like 40 Euros a (small) glass at a bar/restaurant where all the cool kids hang out (I’m not one of them, I stood out like a sore thumb) called Bottega Vini. But it was delicious, so cool, so minerally, so fine and satiny...mmmm!
A classic Dom P. at very nice pricing -- $159.95! Nice. Just landed from France. Free ground shipping for 6 bottles or more, mix and match up anything, as usual. There are many reviews out, and we think this one lines up to our taste ---“a subtle power to this graceful Champagne, which boasts a firm, crystalline frame of acidity married to the fine, satinlike mousse and notes of white raspberry, brioche and Earl Grey tea. Seamless through to the long finish of smoke and spice accents, this opens beautifully in the glass.”
INDEED. While it lasts…!
