Stormy Weather Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2015 - First Bottle

Reviews

97 Jeb Dunnuck -
Even better than the 2014, the brilliant 2015 Stormy Weather offers slightly more oomph and exotic qualities as well as fabulous notes of jammy blackberry, blueberries, white flowers, and espresso roast. Flamboyant, sweetly fruited, sexy, yet perfectly balanced, it?s a sensational 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon that does everything right. The 2015 is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from the Samual Brannon vineyard in Calistoga, that spent 28 months in new French oak. Hats off to winemaker Cameron Woodbridge for this brilliant wine.
96 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet) was aged for 30 months in 100% new French oak and an additional six months in bottle. Medium garnet-purple colored, it gives perfumed red and black currants, cherry cordial and earth with cigar box notions. Full, rich and very spicy in mouth, it's wonderfully plush with seamless freshness, finishing long and earthy. 321 cases produced.

Stormy Weather Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2015

Cabernet Blends  |
JD97, WA96

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!

A few months ago, we offered the head-spinning, 95-point “Northern Gale” bottling to RAVE reviews from you all, and we went back hat in hand, for more. Well, they gave us a few cases of their flagship Napa Cabernet, and it is even more of a barn-burner, a pedal-to-the-metal beast!

Love elegant, light Cabernet? Well, then, hit DELETE, because this is quite the opposite (as you might expect from the brother of Jayson Woodbridge!). Would we ever even have access to this kind of uber-cool, rare find if we were not in the Valley? Doubt it! You’ll be one of the few to own any on the planet!

FREE SHIPPING on 3 today! That’s just $359.85 DELIVERED! Amazing!

OK, so what’s it like, you ask? Opulent, dark, intense and lavishly spiced. Blackberry pie, mocha, tobacco, cigar box, Asian spices, black cherry juice, turned up a notch from the wicked-good Northern Gale bottling. Huge and mouth-coating and lingers on your palate forever, it seems. A MUST at this price if this is the kind of juice that hits all your buttons!

Just as a data point...take a look at a small sampling of the other Napa Valley Cabernet-based wines with a 97-point Jeb Dunnuck score...and then look at the price...

Alpha Omega Drew Vineyard 2015 -- $220

Schrader Georges III 2015 -- $400

Barrett & Barrett 2015 -- $225

Alas, it is extremely limited...we have a no-brainer price, too!

About the Producer

Stormy Weather is the brainchild of Cameron Woodbrige, brother of the larger-than-life Jayson Woodbrige of Hundred Acre fame. Cameron worked alongside his brother and Philipe Melka, who consulted for Hundred Acre at the time, starting in 2005. It was there that he honed his skills and developed a serious love for the industry. So much so, that he decided to start his own project, so with the 2006 vintage in Napa, Stormy Weather was born.
