Michel Rolland Cabernet Sauvignon MR Napa Valley 2015 - First Bottle

Reviews

96+ Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Red Wine has a compelling, lifted nose of ripe plums, warm blackberries and cassis with tapenade, garrigue and sautéed herbs suggestions, plus a waft of roses. Medium to full-bodied, refined and with tons of freshness, this is a very well-crafted and harmonious beauty that should be delicious straight out of the gate but will reward 5-7 years of cellaring and drinking a further 15-20 years thereafter.
96 Jeb Dunnuck -
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon from Rolland is beautiful and shows a more structured, deep, layered side to the vintage. Blackcurrants, toasty oak, espresso, lead pencil shavings and hints of damp herbs all define this Bordeaux’esque beauty and it’s full-bodied, opulent and layered on the palate. Like the 2014, it’s beautifully balanced, has a deep, concentrated middle, and ripe tannin (which are covered by fruit at the moment), and will benefit from 3-4 years of cellaring and keep for two decades or more.

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!

Say it with us. BECKSTOFFER TO KALON, BECKSTOFFER MISSOURI HOPPER, BECKSTOFFER DR. CRANE, AND STAGECOACH. Arguably the top vineyard sites in all of Napa make up this rockstar Napa Cab. Made by the legendary Michel Rolland, the master winemaker, blender extraordinaire and enologist from Bordeaux. Michel is a "super-consultant" who has contributed to so many legendary wines -- Screaming Eagle, Harlan Estate, Sloan, Pavie, Smith Haut Lafitte, Ausone, Angelus, Pontet Canet and dozens more super-collectibles. Talk about pedigree!! Also worth mentioning, these wines are made at Alpha Omega and production overseen by one of the most talented vintners we know, Jean Hoefliger, one of Michel's proteges. (We just got a few more of Jean's huge scoring The Debate 3-packs back in stock if you missed out!)

Read the 96-point review below. This is dead-serious stuff. Rich, dark, intense and deeply concentrated. Even more intense than the killer ‘14, this is so Bordeaux-like with sweet earth, toasted spices, roasting coffee, toffee and mineral notes...it’s also a step up in terms of sheer opulence. WOW. We know you know and love Jean’s wines --- having a few bottles of this masterpiece in the cellar is going to feel VERY good!!

“...refined and with tons of freshness, this is a very well-crafted and harmonious beauty that should be delicious straight out of the gate but will reward 5-7 years of cellaring and drinking a further 15-20 years thereafter.” -- Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

EXTRA-COOL: This is packed in WOODEN 3-PACKS --- today we can send the box for FREE on a 3-pack order. It’s going to look great in the cellar!! $449.85 per 3-pack DELIVERED --- in wood. Amazing! This wine is $175 at the winery! ONLY a handful of 3-packs...FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED!
