Domaine Joseph Colin Chassagne-Montrachet 2020 - First Bottle

Reviews

91 Jasper Morris -
A blend from Meix Goudard, Jours Noblot and Blanchot Dessous. Pale in colour and quite discreet, the fruit fills out the front of the palate first. Deeper soil here makes for fuller body compared to the village Puligny.

About the Producer

Domaine Joseph Colin is a revered estate in Burgundy, France, with a history rooted in winemaking tradition. Founded by Joseph Colin, the domaine gained prominence for its commitment to crafting exceptional Chardonnay wines from the renowned vineyards of the Côte de Beaune. Joseph's son, Michel Colin, continued the family legacy, further enhancing the domaine's reputation for producing high-quality, terroir-driven wines. In recent years, the estate has seen a transition to the next generation, with brothers Pierre-Yves and Damien Colin taking the reins. Under their stewardship, Domaine Joseph Colin continues to thrive, embracing sustainable practices in the vineyard and employing modern winemaking techniques while respecting the essence of Burgundian tradition. The domaine's wines, particularly those from premier and grand cru sites, reflect a harmonious balance of finesse, complexity, and a profound connection to their terroir.
