Falletto di Bruno Giacosa Barbaresco Asili 2019 (Magnum 1.5L) - First Bottle

Reviews

98 James Suckling -
Sweet and succulent aromas of tangerines, freshly cut ripe strawberries, cherries and flowers follow through to a full-bodied palate with sleek and dense tannins that run the length of the wine and then fan out into a dense, vivid finish of fruit. It’s chewy and seriously structured with finesse and energy. Silky texture. This needs at least four or five years to come together and open. Best After 2027

If you wait too long, you'll miss it. This is the real deal - The “Azienda Agricola Falletto – di Bruno Giacosa” label represents wines made from estate vineyards. Not the purchased stuff. True hand-held grapes from the estate team. Don't miss this, especially at this price!

About the Producer

Bruno Giacosa is a legend. A man with the foresight to identify the best sites in Langhe and then acquire them. He was the first person in Barbaresco to designate a single “cru” and an iconoclast who helped elevate Piedmont into the limelight. Bruno’s impact on the region is palpable but more importantly his impact on the world of wine is lasting. Bruno passed away in January of 2018 and he will be remembered as one of the true pioneers in the industry. Bruno Giacosa is a legend.
