This picturesque vineyard dates all the way back to 1558 when the first vines were planted. And what a journey it's been! From a handful of acres, Cauhapé has now grown to cover 53 hectares of prime vineyard land.

But what makes this terroir so special? Well, it's all in the details. The unique microclimate of Jurançon is ideal for growing aromatic white wines, and the soil, made up mostly of clay and silica, lets our native grape varieties shine. With vineyards planted on the hillsides at varying altitudes, all the way up to 400 meters, and steep slopes providing ample drainage, Cauhapé is truly a sight to behold.
