Domaine Marc Colin Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2019 - First Bottle

93-95+ Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
Powerful but controlled, the 2019 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru displays aromas of pear, peach and honeycomb mingled with toasted nuts, dried white flowers and smoke. Full-bodied, layered and multidimensional while remaining lively and mineral, it's an elegantly rendered Bâtard in an inherently powerful finish.

"Anything coming out of the Domaine’s vineyards is something worth reaching for, and this bottle is no exception. Masculine notes of smoke layered with florals, manuka honey, and white peaches add dimension to this chard."

About the Producer

Domaine Marc Colin was founded in 1970 by Marc Colin and his wife Michele. The Domaine spans 15 hectares encompassing 26 appellations in St. Aubin, Chassagne, Puligny, and Santenay and certain parcels have been in the family for more than 100 years. All of the Domaine's vineyards are situated on finely pitched hillsides resulting in wines with savory minerality and luster. Today the Domaine is run by the next generation, Joseph, Caroline, and Damien, the children of Marc and Michele. The Domaine farms sustainably and organically, with most of the vineyards consisting of older vines, and clay-limestones soils that are just some of the shining qualities of this Domain.
