Cattleya Pinot Noir Donum Vineyard Carneros 2015 - First Bottle

Reviews

95 Jeb Dunnuck -
Coming from very old vines (37-year-old vines), the 2015 Pinot Noir Donum Vineyard offers lots of black cherry, framboise, dried violets and spice characteristics in its elegant, seamless, yet still voluptuous and layered profile. Perfumed and complex aromatically, it's silky and refined on the palate, with present, yet polished tannin. This terrific 2015 has everything; complexity, volume, depth and length. Drink it anytime over the coming decade. There’s a scant 62 cases made.

About the Producer

Bibiana Gonzalez Rave is the founder and winemaker of Cattleya Wines. Born and raised in Colombia and trained as a winemaker in France, she moved to California in 2007. She had always dreamt of making wine since she was a teenager. She trained herself while working with some amazing winemakers who showed her the importance of loving the land, how to respect the farming, and to focus on the many details that go into making each bottle. Making the highly acclaimed wines of Pahlmeyer and Wayfarer over the last several years inspired her to go out on her own and the results are extraordinary. You heard it here folks, this is a producer you want to know!
