About The Producer
Dubbed Winemaker of the Year by Wine Enthusiast and an "Italian Master" by Decanter, Carlo Farrini is one of the most revered winemakers in the world. Having produced several hundred-point wines and consulted on a who's who list of clients like Casanova di Neri, Mazzei, Petrolo, Talenti, Brancaia, Tenuta Monteti, and others. In 2002, after scouring Italy, Carlo bought a 25-acre property in Montalcino between Sant’Angelo in Colle and Sant’Antimo and planted six acres of Sangiovese to 15 different clones.

Dark cherries and dried flowers with pumice and spices on the nose. Medium to full body with tight, firm tannins. Racy, with wonderful depth. From old vines with an average age of 70 years. Drinkable now, but will be great in a few years.
