While Director of Winemaking at Pahlmeyer, Kale became one of the youngest winemakers to earn 100 points from Robert Parker for his 2013 Pahlmeyer Cabernet Sauvignon, Pièce De Résistance. It was the first perfect score in Pahlmeyer's thirty year history. After over 15 years working at top Napa projects like Cliff Lede, Colgin, and Pahlmeyer, Kale Wines was born. Specializing in small production wines, Kale balances new technology with ancient techniques to express the vineyards' most delicious characteristics.
About the Producer
Kale wines started in 2008 with Kale and Ranko Anderson who dreamed of creating Rhone inspired wines. Kale is a local in the wine making community, he grew up in Sonoma County and attended UC Davis. This is also where him and Ranko met.
