Yacoubian-Hobbs Dry White Vayots Dzor 2017 - First Bottle

Reviews

91 Wine Enthusiast -
This light-straw-colored wine has a nose of apple tart and brambles. It is rich on the palate, with flavors of apple, pineapple and orange blossom, with a strong vein of minerality. There is a soft floral note on the smooth finish.

Another unique and delicious white wine from Paul Hobbs and his team. We won't bother talking about the indigenous varietals (Voskehat, Khatuni, Nazeli), but you can trust that this is downright stunning - floral, citrus, quince, white pepper, and minerality throughout. The wine lingers with peach, apricot, and poolside vibes.

About the Producer

Yacoubian-Hobbs is a partnership between Paul Hobbs and Viken and Vahe Yacoubian. Paul decided to come on board in 2008 once he visited Armenia and its wine regions. He saw the potential and was inspired by the region as a whole. Armenia has such a rich winemaking history, the Yacoubian-Hobbs vineyards is a stones throw away from the Areni-1 cave which is the oldest known winery dating back 6,000 years ago.
