TerraNoble Pinot Noir Las Dichas Gran Reserva 2019 - First Bottle

Reviews

95 Decanter -
Very fruity, fresh, and mineral wine with notes of red fruits, sour cherry, and strawberry. It shows all the typicality of Pinot Noir with many aromatic layers and textures on the palate. Peter Richards MW: Intriguing aromas of roasted herbs, summer berries and aniseed. Juicy, elegantly bittersweet and food friendly – a proper Pinot, with freshness and complexity. Long, though a touch lean on the finish. Alistair Cooper MW: Attractive, slightly waxy red fruit and herbal nose. A delicate palate with fine-grained tannins, some salinity and well-judged oaking. A very attractive, elegant and restrained style. Derceu Vienna Junior MW: Wonderful and inviting notes of red fruits. Floral notes and earthy tones reminiscent of classy Burgundy. On the palate it is beautifully balanced with a deliciously refreshing and long finish.

This is wildly drinkable, wonderfully overdelivering pinot noir, beaming with fruit and complexity – and well deserving of its incredible 95-point Decanter score! When we can offer it to you at the amazing price of just $21.95, there’s only one thing left to do...Drink up!

This is a tremendous score — a serious wine at the friendliest of prices. The fruit hails exclusively from their “El Algarrobo” vineyard in the Casablanca valley – named for the Chilean carob trees that grow throughout the landscape. The Las Dichas region is the coolest portion of Casablanca Valley, in the extreme west of the valley, and closest to the cooling influences of the Pacific Ocean – only about 4 miles away. The cool climate influences, when coupled with the winery’s minimal intervention winemaking make for a truly fascinating wine that is absolutely singing right now. Grab them while you can, and grab more than you think...these will surprise you!

PAIRING IDEAS: Take chicken thighs and brush them with honey, soy, ginger, garlic, and a bit of hoisin if you have any, and bake them in the oven at 400. When they are done, crank up the broiler, brush a bit more glaze on, and get the skins all crispy. Dinner!
