Argot Pinot Noir Bastard Tongue 2016 - First Bottle

Reviews

97 Jeb Dunnuck -
The 2016 Pinot Noir Bastard Tongue from Justin Harmon is thrilling stuff that reminds me of some old-school Kistler wines. Smoking notes of black raspberries, dried flowers, incense, and forest floor notes all emerge from this deep, rich, layered effort that has fabulous complexity, a hedonistic texture, and impeccable balance. It's a rock star of a Sonoma County Pinot Noir that delivers the goods. Drink it any time over the coming 8-10 years.

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!

Wow! We are blown away to have scored a very few cases of this rarity -- a wine (and winery) that is fast-becoming the hottest new kid on the block --- don’t miss! Not for the shy!!

Argot’s mastermind is Justin Harmon, a former computer programmer from Chicago who caught the wine bug big time and learned his craft from none other than Russell Bevan (this guy needs no introduction, of course, to you savvy oenophiles!). That should give you a sense of what this beautiful, full-throttle 2016 pinot is all about --- lush, sexy, polished and uber-richly textured wine that will most certainly put you in the mind of Aubert, Marcassin, and Peter Michael! Jeb Dunnuck in his 97-point review says it reminds him of old Kistler...so we’re going to bust into the cellar to see if that’s true this weekend!

Anyway - wow! Just a few cases. MOVE QUICK! Great price too. We’ll leave you with a few choice words from Jeb: “Smoking notes of black raspberries, dried flowers, incense, and forest floor notes all emerge from this deep, rich, layered effort that has fabulous complexity, a hedonistic texture, and impeccable balance. It's a rock star of a Sonoma County Pinot Noir that delivers the goods.”  INDEED! First come, first served!!
