Our love for Saint Mitre’s roses is unbounded - Clos Madon is the top wine from this couple and their lovely property with a magnificent view on the massif of Sainte-Baume. 95% grenache and 5% syrah, aged on the fine lees for 2 months in tank and concrete, bottles ultra-fresh and utterly satisfying. Packed with real complexity (again, just amazing at the price) — think rose petals, subtle and elegant aromas of blood orange and cranberry, beautiful freshness and a layered texture.

Drinks like something quite a bit more, if we haven’t said that enough! We’re proud to bring this in directly from the domaine for thirsty First Bottlers...while it lasts!

** A few interesting Provence region tidbits **

- Provence was actually one of the first established vineyard regions in France.

- This bottle of rose is a part of a 2600 year history. The region has been producing wine since 600 BCE.

- Half of the rose drank in the U.S. is from Provence.

- Provence gets on average approximately 2,900 sunshine hours per year (compared to just over 2,000 in Los Angeles and Miami).

PAIRING IDEAS: Here in the Valley, we lack a bit of good Thai and Vietnamese food, so we’re always looking for that style for a killer rose. Make a big batch of this Thai fried rice, fill a bowl and chillax!

MUSIC SUGGESTIONS: Pretty and Pink - this rose makes me want to get up and dance! There’s nothing better than some 80’s and 90’s Madonna, more specifically “Material Girl" or "Vogue”.
