Pierre Moncuit Blanc de Blancs Brut Grand Cru 2010 (Magnum 1.5L) - First Bottle

Reviews

93 Vinous -
Another terrific wine in this range, the 2010 Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is powerful and broad on the palate with striking depth and texture. Lemon confit, baked apple, chamomile, smoke, almond, dried flowers and mint all flesh out in this ample, racy Champagne from Moncuit. Vinous, deep and super-expressive, the 2010 is a terrific choice for drinking now and over the next few years. Slightly mature nutty and honeyed flavors lead me to believe the 2010 won't be an especially long-lived wine, but that won't be an issue for readers who enjoy their bottles over the next handful or so of years. Dosage is 7 grams per liter. Disgorged: November 2017.

Pierre Moncuit MAGNUMS! What?!

Located in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, where grand cru chardonnay is at its finest, Nicole Moncuit owns some of the oldest vines along the entire Cote with an average age of 45 years and some much older. For those in the know, Pierre Moncuit is a must-have, simple as that. This tiny grower has officially hit superstar status and we can't keep these in stock whenever we get some -- the 2008 sold out in record time (man that wine was special!) so we thought we unleash these magnums from 2010 for you Champagne lovers out there. Just in time for the holdays.

Check out Galloni's note below, but note that we don't have many magnums to go around and these will not last long given all the love you all have for this great producer.

About the Producer

Located in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger where grand cru Chardonnay reigns supreme, Moncuit, a small grower producer is blowing our minds. Since 1977, Nicole Moncuit, both passionate about winemaking and by the culture of the vine, has taken over the technical direction of the House. Her expertise enables her to develop the most typical aromas of the harvest each year.
