96 James Suckling -
Read
If you are patient and you’re not afraid of sweetness, then this is the wine for you. A very succulent and concentrated Spätlese with a ton of minerals and plenty of floral honey, but also concentrated and succulent, exotic-fruit character. Imposing finish with a lot of power. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

About the Producer
The Wagners have been growing wine for nine generations and Daniel Wagner has been responsible for the wines since the early 1990s. The foundation stone of the Wagnerian court was laid in 1845 and the earlier generations turned the classic mixed operation into a well-known winery which helped the Hollberg and Heerkretz vineyards gain national importance in the first decades of the 20th century. The fruits of this passion for wine show up every year in a wine that is stimulatingly fresh and clear on one hand and challenging complex and concentrated on the other hand.
