Caterwaul Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2019 - First Bottle

Reviews

92-94 Jeb Dunnuck -
A 3,000-case blend that should be one of the great values in the vintage, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley just about jumps out of the glass with its fruit-forward, undeniably delicious style that could be drunk today. Notes of cassis and berry fruits, lots of spice and flower nuances, full-bodied richness, and ripe, polished tannins all make for a no-brainer purchase geared for drinking over the coming decade.

We couldn’t have said it better, Jeb!! By now, all the savvy Napa Cab buyers have discovered Caterwaul, so we wanted to get this hot-off-the-press ‘19 out into the ether ASAP, as it disappears in a flash year after year! More reviews will be coming, but we are sure you will find this one of the best buys of 2021 in the Cabernet-world.

Rich, silky, generous, warm with berries and mocha, with TRB’s unmistakable polished tannin and ultra-long finish. SO. GOOD. First come, first served! While it lasts...!

PAIRING IDEAS: Get a rack of pork chops. Put your favorite rub on and do the oven (or smoker) low and slow until they hit temp, then blast em with some heat to crisp up. Rest and whip up a chimichurri. Grill some good bread. You’re done!!

MUSIC SUGGESTIONS: We insist you put on this rarity (we could only find one copy on YouTube) from TOM TOM CLUB: "Who Feelin' It". Such a fun, Cabernet-drinking jam!!

Working together for many years over many different projects, a friendship was developed. Out of that friendship the idea of working together, utilizing the strengths of the other, Caterwaul was born.
