Reviews

96 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
2013: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon T5 is virtually all Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of charcoal, graphite, red and black fruits, an opaque purple color, a beautiful silky texture and full-bodied opulence. This is an epic effort from this fabulous vintage for Bordeaux varieties in Napa Valley. The wine needs 2-5 years of bottle age and should drink well for 30+ years."
94 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
2014: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon T5 is also 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (the Bosch? clone is planted on their site and the vines now are 30 years old.) This wine is much more open and forward with supple, silky tannins and delicious front-end loaded blackcurrant in a juicy, succulent, full-bodied style that is irresistible. This is a sexy 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Stags Leap that should drink nicely for 20-25 years."
96 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
2015: "Very deep purple-black colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon T5 has lifted cassis, blackberry preserves and plums notes with touches of potpourri, licorice, dark chocolate, tar and chargrill. The concentrated, full-bodied palate offers decadent, perfumed and savory layers, finishing on a persistent anise note."
98 Jeb Dunnuck -
2016: "There's a scant 125 cases of the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon T5, which comes from a higher elevation site and vines planted in 1986. All Grace Clone Cabernet Sauvignon, it's a full-bodied, layered, incredibly rich Cabernet that's a legendary wine in the making. Huge notes of blackberries, currants, cedarwood, and scorched earth all emerge from this powerful 2016 that's locked and loaded on the palate. It shows more smoke tobacco and dark chocolate with time in the glass and will ideally be given 4-5 years of bottle age. It's going to keep for three decades."

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!

DIRECT from the winery, pristine and hyper-rare to see for sale, at all. Normally this wine is exclusively sold to the Hartwell T5 club members, the highest level of their exclusive wine club. But not today!

T5 is the name of the Rolls-Royce of wine barrels, the highly-allocated, limited-edition French oak barrel from the world famous cooperage Taransaud. Filled with the very finest portion of the Hartwell Estate vineyard in Stags Leap (now REALM Cellars). Made by the same winemaker as Realm, of course, the elusive rockstar that is Benoit Touquette. We will note that this string of vintages in Napa Valley is one of the best runs in the entire history of this famous region.

Honestly, we are having a hard time deciding which wine we like the most. They each offer something unique, and they all deliver a luxurious, hedonistic experience that is the pinnacle of what Napa Valley can produce. Lastly, we’ll say this -- these wines are MASSIVE, some of the most concentrated, intense, dense, rich, and incredibly powerful Napa Cabs you have EVER tasted. Not for the shy! Check out the scores and critical raves below -- this is truly a unicorn in the wine world.

Presented as a 4-year vertical --- we have exactly 15 of these to sell (a miracle on its own!). FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED!
