William Fevre Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru 2013 - First Bottle

Reviews

92-95 Vinous -
Bright, pale yellow-green. High-pitched aromas of lime zest, white flowers and peppermint are complicated by a saline nuance. Elegant, silky and pure; in a distinctly feminine style, showing a seamless texture and captivating floral lift. This very suave, youthful wine finishes with outstanding subtle persistence. In many vintages, this is the only Preuses I taste that's in the same quality league as the stunning version from Vincent Dauvissat.
93 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
The 2013 Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses has an austere, wet granite, nettle and saline nose that is nicely poised. The palate is fresh and crisp with a keen line of acidity, a potent marine influence here with bundles of crisp Granny Smith apples mixed with lemongrass and lime toward the tensile finish. This is one of the best wines from William Fevre in 2013.

About the Producer

1959, the year in which William Fèvre declared his first crop, marked the birth of the domain. Descended from a family which had lived in the Chablis region for over 250 years, it was only natural that he set up as a winemaker with 7 hectares of vineyards. Over the years the domain has acquired new vineyards in Chablis, all located in the historic terroirs. William Fèvre has become one of the biggest land owners in Chablis with 78 hectares of prestigious vineyards, of which 15.9 are classified as Premiers Crus and 15.2 as Grand Crus.
