This is really gorgeous, with plum, berry and light toasted oak on the nose and palate. Full-bodied, with big velvety tannins and a soft, caressing mouthfeel. Gorgeous and seductive. Better than the 2000 and impressive. Best after 2007. 730 cases made.

About the Producer
It all started in 1996, when the young Turin-born Paolo Monti, just 30-years-old at the time, acquired a historical estate in San Sebastiano, south of Monforte d’Alba. Together with his friend winemaker Roberto Gerbino, he bought ten barriques from France and made their first wine: a Barbera d’Alba which was put on the market two years later. Monti’s adventure had begun. Since then, the winery maintains the philosophy of Paolo and Roberto: “to pursue excellence, expressing precision and quality”.
