Too late, we are SOLD OUT!
The Roero district is situated in the heart of Piedmont between the vineyard-laden hills between Langa and Monferrato, just north of the town of Alba, in the hills rising up from the bank of the Tanaro River. While not nearly as known as Barolo or Barbaresco, this region is producing some incredible wines from the Nebbiolo grape that are a fraction of the price.

We love Malvira's 2015 Roero, it shows the ripeness of the near-perfect vintage without being overdone. This is what we like to call Barolo on a budget and while it doesn't contain the intensity of tannin or the depth of some of the finest Barolo's it offers so much bang for the buck. The quality to price ratio is strong in this one, trust us!

About the Producer

Malvira winery began its production in the 1950s under the guidance of Giuseppe Damonte. Giuseppe was a visionary, understanding that in the 50s, the Roero had not yet maximized its vineyard and thus grape-growing potential. Today the estate is run by Massimo and Roberto Damonte, Guiseppe’s sons, who inherited their father’s passion for winemaking.
