96 James Suckling -
A vintage that has the breadth and depth of a late-harvested vintage with rich, compressed fruit aromas and flavors, as well as dense, ripe tannins and concentrated dark fruit to close.

About the Producer

Almaviva is a partnership between Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and Eduardo Guilisasti Tagle, Chairman of Vina Concha y Toro. Made from a blend of classic Bordeaux varieties, in which Cabernet Sauvignon predominates, Almaviva is the result of a felicitous encounter between two cultures. The result is an exceptionally elegant and complex wine. Its launch was a major milestone in the development of Chilean wines, both in Chile itself and in the international market. The label plays homeage to Chile's ancestral history, symbolizing the vision of the earth and the cosmos in the Mapuche civilization. The design appears on the Kultrun, a ritual drum used by the Mapuche.
